Endodontics is the diagnosis and treatment of problems with the inside of the tooth, the soft tissue known as dental pulp. The most common endodontic procedure is the root canal. Dr. Dulac has extensive experience in performing root canals.
Root canals are performed to save a tooth when the pulp becomes inflamed or infected due to decay, repeated dental procedures on the tooth, cracks, chips or other injuries. Dr. Dulac also performs apicoectomies or removal of the tip of the root, which is useful for certain types of failed root canals. In some cases an apicoectomy can be cheaper and less traumatic than an extraction and dental implant.
For more complex endodontic procedures, Dr. Dulac works with some great Endodontists (Root canal specialists) in the area and can refer you to one if needed.
