As I write this in late October, we’re closing in on 2 months from the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023. I wanted to reach out with some office and end-of-year updates.
This tends to be our busiest time of year. Many of our patients with unused insurance benefits want to get scheduled. If you have treatment needs, and a January insurance rollover, I encourage you to schedule as soon as possible.
As a reminder, HSA / FSA benefits may be used for cosmetic services like whitening, and to purchase toothbrushes through the office. I consider a Sonicare toothbrush to be the single best investment you could make in your dental health. My entire family and every office member have one. Sonicare is doing a holiday special, prices until year end are as follows: Kids $39.99, Adult $49.99, Diamond Clean $149.99. No appointment is needed to purchase brushes. If you’d like to call prior to coming to make sure we have your desired brush in stock, please do so.
I also wanted to update everyone on our Holiday Hours. We will close the Wednesday before and the Friday after Thanksgiving. We will close Friday December 23 and Monday December 26 for Christmas. Dr Dulac will not be in the office the last week of December between Christmas and New Year. Other staff will be out at various times. I will be available by cell for after-hours emergencies and will have emergency coverage if I leave town. Please do try to be proactive in any dental treatment needs so they don’t disrupt your holiday plans.
I also wanted to provide some staff updates. We have some new team members. Debbie and Caroline are still up front and have been since 2017 and before with Dr Markoff, as has Nadjma one of our hygienists. Nadjma also speaks Farsi and Danish. Erica has been with me as an assistant for a couple of years now. In July, Leigh retired. We wish her and her husband the best at the beach. Isabella is our new assistant; she speaks Spanish in addition to English. And finally, we were able to hire a great hygienist after a year without during a hygiene labor shortage. Hein is here in the mornings and speaks Vietnamese in addition to English. If you’ve not yet met Isabella or Hein, I think you’ll really like them.
I wish you and your family the best during this busy and fun season.
